A beautiful Berber silver bracelet from the Siwa Oasis ( near the Libyan border ) in Egypt.
The bracelet has the Egyptian hallmark as well as assay marks (made of 80% pure silver) on the outside and the maker's mark on the inside.
The central silver hallmark features "the cat" which was in use between 1916 - 1946.
The cuff bracelet was made for a wearer in the Siwa Oasis, but the same type of bracelets was also worn in Tunisia and Libya.
