Antique Chaoui necklace from the Aurès massif (eastern Algeria) or eastern Tunisia. This necklace is made of irregularly shaped natural coral beads and finely chiseled silver beads, connected by a hammered silver chain. The central pendant, in silver, is decorated with a circular openwork pattern, topped with a set coral element and a raw coral charm. The medallion was probably created from an omega fibula, characteristic of the region.
