Oromo silver bracelet from the Ethiopian highlands.
This open silver bangle features a semi-circular structure with regularly spaced raised striations across its entire surface. The decoration consists of three hammered protuberances. The Oromo people of the Ethiopian highlands favor jewelry with simple designs, emphasizing clean lines and dots, created using soldered silver wire and planed silver. Such ornaments, often worn by women, signify family or social belonging and reflect traditional craftsmanship.
