This antique silver necklace from Al-Bayda, Yemen, exemplifies precise traditional tribal craftsmanship. Made from solid silver, it features geometric motifs and suspended pendants. Each element is carefully crafted using precise hammering, a hallmark of Yemeni metalwork. Predominantly circular and diamond patterns appear in the design, symbolizing protection and fertility in the local culture. The necklace includes bells and mobile chains, which, aside from their aesthetic function, may serve a protective role by emitting sounds to ward off evil spirits.
