Old Omani ring, made with massive high quality silver. The whole ring has an beautiful old and worn patina.
These ring is from Nizwa Oasis.
The rings are worn in pairs on both hands. It was not rare to wear 5 rings of different style on each hand.
The "al shadad" is the term for the index in Arabic and is so called because a Muslim points this finger alone when pronouncing the shahadah the Islamic doctrinal formula.
